Sony NEX-5 and Sony NEX-3

Do you know that Sony NEX-5 NEX-3 are freaking hot selling after they have been launched recently!

Canon NEX-5 is a 14.2MP interchangeable lens camera with a mirror-less design.

What makes the NEX-5 so special is that image sensor is the same physical size of those found in DSLRs like the Nikon D300s or Canon 7D.

The NEX-5 (and its cheaper sibling, the NEX-3) stand to deliver a more compact “full package” than any other camera has yet!

One of my friend who bought it and used mainly for his job function has so far no complaint but huge positive words for it!

Get to view sample pictures produced by NEX-5? see here http://www.lenstip.com/1828-news-Sony_NEX-5_-_sample_images.html

Below is the video which will explain some of the features for Sony NEX-5, NEX-3!

What is Inside? Wimax is Inside

With the unveiling of the new notebook laptops and netbooks, from 6 brands like Acer, lenovo, Asus (soon), MSI, Dell (soon) and Toshiba (soon), you’re going to start asking your favourite PC.

Buying a mobile machine with Wimax built-in would be much better than without.

Includes free Wimax inside (1NSIDE) plans

Yes. You’ll get a free Wimax subscription plan when you purchase one of these devices. However, the free offer is only available for a limited time.

  • If you bought a notebook, you get 6 months free usage.
  • If you bought a netbook, you get 3 months free usage.

This limited offer is only available between June 29, 2010 and September 30, 2010.

But P1 being generous with their Wimax plans is now offering a special plan, if you choose to continue the subscription after it’s free usage. Instead of paying RM89 per month later, you can renew your subscription for only RM49 per month! That’s a, erm, give me a minute, RM480 savings per year.

Why buy when you can win it?

If there’s 1 thing I’ve to say, it’s the promotions for this Wimax revolution is, insane! Right of the bat, they’re now running a Twitter and Facebook contest. And all you have to do is:

  1. Snap a creative picture of you with your laptop.
  2. Tweet it to @wimaxinside or share your photos (with caption) on the Wimax inside Facebook page.

The most creative photo and slogan will win you a Wimax-inside laptop each week. This is why it’s insane. You’ll get to win a laptop each week during July. And there’ s like 4 weeks in July!

BONUS: Get a WiMAX-Inside 4G netbook from as low as RM99 or notebook from as low as RM999

Don’t lie to me you won’t even fork out RM100 to buy this netbook! Heck, even if it’s specs aren’t great, it’s freaking RM99 for crying out loud! It’s brand new and it’s the ideal purchase if all you want is a lightweight machine to lug around with you.

In the meantime, if you were invited for the Intel-P1 Wimax Inside launch event. You’d have walked away with this.

Toshiba Libretto W100

Wow!!!

The world's first dual touchscreen device to run Windows 7, the Toshiba Libretto W100 !!!

It displays content across two 17.8cm (7") screens, allowing users to navigate through their applications in the most intuitive way.

The combination of a dual touchscreen form factor and integrated accelerometer allows for a diverse way of using the Libretto W100, simply split content across two screens; turn the Libretto W100 vertically for reading web pages, or bring up the virtual keyboard for more traditional clamshell computing!

However, I personally think it's slowing down the speed of typing though... what do you guys think about it? Yet I am still fascinated by their innovation!

HTC EVO Is a very good business device !

It's natural to think of Sprint's HTC EVO smartphone as a consumer device. With its large 4.3-inch touch-screen, fast 4G connectivity and a kickstand back that props up the phone like a monitor, the phone seems built for browsing the Internet and watching videos.

But carrier Sprint Nextel says the handset is equally useful as a business device and that companies and small businesses have been snapping up units.

It turns out that the features prized by early adopter consumers are also handy for business users. EVO's two cameras--one front-facing, the other in the back--enable video conference calls. The phone's mobile hotspot feature, which can connect up to eight wi-fi enabled devices to Sprint's network, is attractive to businesspeople who travel with laptops.

To handle corporate email, EVO has built-in support for Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync server. There's also the speed factor. Sprint says 4G is up to 10 times quicker than 3G.

Specialized software may increase EVO's utility to workers. Sprint has been forging deals that will bring educational and scientific software to its high-end phones. A just-announced partnership with Blackboard Inc. will connect users of Sprint's BlackBerry and Android phones (including EVO) to the popular e-learning software.

Another initiative will enable doctors to share medical images and records on Sprint phones while preserving patient privacy. The trick is that the images and information are stored "in the cloud" on remote servers, not on the device. This application, which was developed with Calgary Scientific, wish to be popular on EVO because its fast processor and 4G technology support will speed up the sending and receiving of detailed medical images.

In the past, such apps were mostly used on laptops or desktop computers. Sprint is essentially promoting EVO as a substitute for these larger computing devices, even in professional settings. A lot of people don't want to use laptops for work; they want to be highly mobile thus EVO can be used as a utility device.

HTC EVO 4G OTA Software Update Improved Upon And Re-released

HTC and Sprint have released an improved version of their over-the-air software update for the EVO 4G handset. They had earlier stopped the previous version of the update after it was found to cause bricking of the smartphone.

The new update is 30 MB in size as compared to the previous version which took up 21 MB of space. HTC EVO 4G phones that were updated successfully have been reported to function at faster speeds and get an increase in their battery life. A considerable improvement in the WiFi connectivity of updated EVO 4G phones as well as a complete removal of the “grounding” issue has also been reported.

However, users of the smartphone who have already added the new update to their phones have been advised to refrain from adding the improved version of the update. Applying the update twice to the handsets has been rumored to be the cause of the bricking of the device, though there has been no official announcement from HTC or Sprint regarding the cause.

Meanwhile, consumers with broken EVO 4G phones have been advised to head to the nearest Sprint store to ask for a replacement unit. However, the replacement could take some time as HTC had announced a shortage of EVO 4G handsets earlier.
